Optical imaging with fluorescence dyes is an important methodology, which revolutionized biology and physiology research in the last half of the 20th century. We work on development of fast fluorescence imaging with transmembrane potential sensitive and other dyes. Our laboratory has pioneered a number of methods for acquisition and analysis of optical data recorded at a rate of 1,000 or more frames per second. We have published a number of technical reviews which serve as an excellent introduction into the fact optical imaging of the heart. Several publications are accompanied by videos.
