I am a fourth year PhD student in the Efimov laboratory. My dissertation research focuses on dynamically detecting, qualifying, and controlling pacemaker regions of the heart. Specifically, I am investigating the acute and chronic effects of beta-adrenergic stimulation in regulating sinoatrial nodal activity. I am also developing novel approaches for cellular reprogramming using tissue engineering and optogenetics.
